It is our pleasure to inform you that we are organizing "YUVOTSAV- 18” an Inter-Collegiate Sports Tournament which includes Football (32 teams) and Basketball (16 teams) from colleges in and around Pune on 31st January, 1st and 2nd February 2018 in our campus.
We have conducted YUVOTSAV-15, 16 and 17 with a grand success which is dedicated to the volunteers of the event. We hope the same spirit and dedication from volunteers for YUVOTSAV-18. It is time to promote our event in the best way we can.

Mr. Shubham Paiyawal and Mr. Shweta Vibhute of MBA-II year won 1st Prize in Brain Teaser. Mr. Prithvij Nene and Mr. Sushant Tathwadkar of MBA – I were awarded with 2nd Prize in Debate competition. Ms. Sini Ann and Ms. Aasiya Inamdar were the 3rd Runner up in Brain Teaser. The institute Director Dr. Daniel Penkar and all the staff members congratulated and facilitated all the students.

S. B. Patil Institute of Management always put efforts towards improvement and development of society in some or other way. We at SBPIM always impart moral values among students. With these objective students of SBPIM raised campaign to celebrate ecofriendly Diwali and also sensitize society about environmental pollution and health hazard.
A poster making competition was organized on October13, 2017 on the theme “Eco Friendly Diwali” with an attempt to spread awareness about ill-effects of bursting crackers and its effect on the environment. Students of MBA-I and MBA-II as well faculty members enthusiastically participated in the noble cause and made several motivating posters. A rally was also taken out by the students in the nearby area of college campus where they conveyed the message to save environment and celebrate Eco friendly Diwali. Students chanted slogans “This year burst the Hunger”, “Avoid Cracker Save Money save Nature” , “ Be an Anti-Cracker Citizens”, “ No explosive and Fumes Go-Green”, “ Celebrate a pollution Free Diwali”, “ Boycott Chinese Ware go with Make in India”, “This Diwali burst your ego not Crackers” etc.

A Safety Awareness Workshop was organized at S. B. Patil Institute of Management on 23rd September 2017. The speaker, Shree..Vijaykumar Palsule spoke about safety rules and regulations.
He started his speech with different safety measures that are being developed by the police department for the SENIOR CITIZEN. He gave information about safety cell and various apps that are available to cater senior citizens safety and security. Sir also shared information on how the police department is trying their level best to safeguard the SMALL CHILDREN from slum and economically lower background from getting into bad company and be involved in thefts. He threw light on how they are promoting the app called POLICE KAKA in different schools and slum areas.
He gave detailed information about the safety for GIRLS. He emphasized on how the girls should be additional cautious while using social media, especially before sharing any personal information and photos to someone unknown.
He explained the process of using the app called BUDDY COP which can be used to safeguard any girl who faces issues such as ragging, eve teasing, or any kind of sexual harassment.
Eventually he ended his workshop by sharing some live examples where the police played an integral role in saving some of the people who would otherwise become victim.

He said Employability is very important but if you develop your professional skills you are employable. Students must be courageous that will give edge in corporate world. Students must learn time management and improve communication develop a talkative ability. In the afternoon Ice Breaking session was conducted by International Mind Education Institute (IMEI) Pune. IMEI is South Korea based worldwide organization and is one of its Mind transformations Institute. It was activity based mind transformation activity. Mr. Pratik Shirke (Co Director- IMEI, Pune) explains the levels of minds and to develop your mind. Followed by his presentation a mind recreational activity based session was conducted for students in groups. Mr. Minwoo Seo (Director-IMEI, Pune) stressed on importance and necessity of mind education. During his session he explains the IQ (Intelligent Quotient), EQ (Emotional Quotient) and AQ (Adversity Quotient). He said right mind can give right results.

MBA is Masters of Business Administration, business consist of all specializations so do not restrict yourself to your area of specialization but become master of all. Then she explained about college policy, code of conduct, syllabus, exam pattern, entire road map of 2 years for new MBA students.

She started the session with introducing himself. She explained with the help of presentation about the Summer Internship phases, how summer internship takes place, what are the preparations candidates must do before the summer internships. Various questions arise while choosing a particular company for SIP.
Ms. Dhruvi guided students about the various challenges and opportunities they can face during the summer internship interviews.
Ms. Dhruvi told them about the various SIP related portal available for the students. She introduces Intern Theory portal and how to use it, she also explained how a student’s can choose the best SIP company through the online medium.
She suggested all concentrate upon your area of interest, see to that the must give you a good exposure during Summer Internship, Be aware of each and every aspects happening around you and in the business world this will help you for the betterment of your task during SIP. Give justice to your task assigned during SIP and maintain the good relationship in the organization.
The session was very interactive and informative. The students enjoyed it enormously.
P.C.E.T’s S.B. Patil Institute of Management students had an Industrial Visit to Kalyani Maxion Wheels Ltd. Chakan, Pune on 18/2/2017. The company manufactures Automobile Wheels for various models of trucks and cars. The company officials informed the students about the standard operating procedures followed in the company.
The students got an opportunity to see the work atmosphere and various functional areas like the Manufacturing process, Plant Layout, Lean Management, quality control, supply chain and other major operations of the company. Company`s official Mr. Narendra Patiltook the students for visiting the manufacturing line. It was a thrilling experience for the students to see how various machining operations are carried out with the help of robotics. The shop visit was followed by question answer session wherein the students were informed about the concept of a green factory, training of workers and how the cultural of excellence is created in working of the factory. This visit helped the students to correlate concepts learn in the classroom and practical applications. Overall the visit was highly knowledgeable to students and it inculcated a feeling of professionalism in them. The visit was organized by Dr. Manoj Gadre, Dr. Dipti V. Sharma and Prof. Swapnali Kulkarni .45 students of MBA –I attended the visit.
Industry Institute Interaction is integral part at S.B. Patil Institute of Management. To nurture and strengthen Industry and Academia Association SBPIM take various significant steps to bridge the gap between the Industry and Academic. One of the major initiatives is by the way of HR MEET. On 9th Feb 2017 at S. B. He said, wealth creation is one of the objective of doing job or business but after earning money some of people never invest the money in the wise available investment options.
Financial market is capable of giving good returns on investments. But sometimes we are not aware of such instruments and then we invest in traditionally in Gold , bank etc.
Mr. Shubhanshu Gupta with the various examples and videos aware all the aspiring MBA graduates about the investment options like Mutual funds, Share Market etc.
He motivated and appeal all the aspiring managers to take best knowledge about the mutual funds and share market, so as to invest wisely. He also gave the example of Mr. Warren Buffett- one of the richest men in World and how he created his wealth. Faculty members and students got to know some about importance of investment.
He also provided information about the job opportunities available in the financial market and how to prepare for these jobs during the students phase.
He answered all queries of students and faculties asked during the question and answer session.
A guest lecture of Mr. Atul Patil – Ex- analyst of eClerx Ltd on the topic of “ Preparing for Aptitude test and Technical Interview” was organized on Tuesday, 10th January 2017 at SBPIM’s Seminar Hall.
The introduction of speaker was given by Prof. Swapnil Sonkamble & felicitation of the guest was done by Dr. Manoj Gadre. The session was attended by the second year students.
Mr. Atul Patil guided all the students regarding importance of aptitude test during the selection process. He elaborated some problems faced by the students especially related to aptitude test like students loose most of the time during the aptitude test as they are not prepared for the test. He taught them some shortcut methods along with suitable examples. He also suggested them about the frequently asked aptitude problems and explained the ways to solve the same.
The session was concluded with question and answer session. Mr. Atul Patil provided solutions to the queries raised by the students.

A guest lecture was conducted by Ms. Pallavi Varma and Ms. Ankana Saumya – Marketing Manager- Indian Overseas Bank on “Awareness of digitalization in Banking”. The guest are welcomed on campus and felicitated by Dr. Manoj Gadre.
The session began with the introduction of the banking system in India, Role of banking system in the Indian Economy and global economy as well.
They cover the sub topics like what is digitalization? Why is it important? What are the benefits of digitalization to banking? How can we contribute?
They explained about the basis of financial market fundamental and its relations with banking system in India. They also show the demonstration of Mobile banking, Net banking, SMS Banking and encourage students to adopt new technology and create India a cashless economy.
The session was very interactive and informative. The students enjoyed it .
An impactful guest lecture of Mr. Sumedh Gupte- Regional Head, Business Standard Ltd “Expectations of industry from the managers of 21st century” was conducted on 20th September 2016 at SBPIM’s Seminar Hall.

He started the session with introducing himself and his journey in the corporate world. He explained about the various questions arising in the minds of freshers while choosing a particular job.
Mr. Sumedh Gupta spoke about the various challenges and opportunities he faced in the corporate world. He also told about how his decisions shape his career.
Mr. Gupte explained all the aspiring students about, before knowing the expectations of the corporate world first you know yourself. He told aspiring managers to have tremendous potential to change and cater this world. He told students about focusing on your career path for life.
He suggested all to concentrate upon being an honest, sincere and keep aware about each and every aspect happening around you and in the business world. Mr. Gupte explained that being a good human being and an informative person you will get a place in an organization and will be successful.
Mr. Sumedh Gupte also told them about the interviews he conducts and kind of people he chooses for his organization. He suggested MBAs must acquire all sort of skills and enhance them before entering into the corporate world.
The session was very interactive and informative. The students enjoyed it enormously.

Pimpri Chinchwad education trust’s S. B. Patil Institute of Management had organized 'Rhythm'-A two days induction Program for welcoming MBA first year students .The program was held on 22 & 23 ofAugust 2016. Prof. Pranita Burbure welcomed all the guests and the students. The session was inaugurated by the hands of Hon Chief Guest Mr. Ashwani Bakoo, Psychotherapist , Dr. Daniel Penkar , Director along with Dr. H D Thorat – Research Head and Dr. Kirti Dharwadkar – Dean Academics, S. B. Patil Institute Management, Nigdi.
Dr. Daniel Penkar welcomed the new faces and addressed them with his motivational words. He said that life is full of struggle and we must face it with confidence, passion, commitment and consistency with reference to the corporate world. He completed his speech by saying “Be a value to the company and not cost.
Chief Guest of Program Mr. Ashwani Bakoo practicing psychotherapist, a visiting faculty for Tata Institute of Social Sciences and the Director of Viiking Aviation and VMA Software Solutionsgave a “Success Mantra" to the students by saying that in the world of competition every student must stay focused and be ready for the change and change is not an easy process so the role of being a student is to grow to develop the skills and attitude.
Dr. Kirti Dharwadkar discussed and elaborated the institute’s policy code of conduct and revised pattern of syllabus.
Prof. Swapnali Kulkarni & Prof. Mohd. Zahiruddin conducted Mentoring Program & an activity for MBA I year.
The second day of induction Program was started by the Guest of the day Prof. Antony Thomas from The English Language Academy. He said that English speaking is the most important skill in today’s world and every student should master this skill with the help of mentors and by their own efforts.
